It is important for every Muslim man and woman to recite Quran daily, not only to recite it, but to understand it as well. It contains secrets of Success, and for engineers as well, this book is something which should not be forgotten any day. I have my personal experience regarding this book and that is that whenever i have any problem in my day, and i recite Quran with its translation and explaination that day, i always find my answer in it. This is, in my eyes, is a great miracle of this Wonderful book.

Virtual Serial Port Driver 6.0.1.115
An excellent utility for all those Electronic Engineers and students who like to work in the field of Interfacing. Interfacing is a very important field that you should know if you want to excel in the field of automation. Incomes Virtual Serial Port Driver from Eltima Software which creates virtual serial ports (COM) ports in your computer. You can view them using your device manager window as well. These serial ports can then be used by your softwares like Labview, Hyper Terminal etc, for communications via serial port. You can create two virtual serial ports and interconnect both using this software and if your software sends some data on one port, you can view it on the other virtual port and vice versa. This software plays a vital role when i was preparing the simulations for my final year project. A very good and highly recommended software from myside. Here is the software Long Live Eltima Software!

Electronic Calculations Data Handbook by Daniel McBrearty
This is a good practical handbook of Electronic Calculations. It covers topics from resistive circuits, to LC and operational amplifiers topics. I do think that the author should have covered more topics in this book. But no doubt that this book is a good read. You can download the book from here. You can either use shoutbox or the comments option to describe your thoughts about it.

Lynxmotion --- Deals in Robotics in Pakistan
I remember, when i was making my robot for NERC, i faced a great need for some important components, these components were not available from the markets of Karachi and thus i couldnt built my robot as per my ideas were. Then i came to know about this company. Lynxmotion offers vast range of robotic products, ranging from full fletched Robots, Arms, to Electronics, Mechanical parts, gearing and even motors. The prices seem to be reasonable. The fact that makes Lynxmotion more than a good news for a Pakistani, is this that it has its distributor in Pakistan and He is in Karachi. So all you have to do is to reach Imran Hadi, inform him what you want from this comprehensive website of Lynxmotion and he will make sure that you get them as soon as possible. Here is his address:

Simple Solar Homesteading by Lamar Alexandre
Written by Mr. Lamar Alexander H.E.S, this book is a jewel in its sense. It gives you an insight, with less theory and more practical, of how to make solar projects and deploy them in your home. The best thing about this book that i saw is it provides you a detail of full budget that will be spent on any project that you will make from it. This is highly important as we amateur and beginners are highly concious about starting the Solar Projects as we donot have a proper estimate of the investment. This book will give us a better idea about it. Have a look at the title of the projects in this book:
1. a sturdy solar cabin for under $2000
2. a solar panel and generator home energy system for under $1000
3. a solar composting toilet for under $50
4. a solar batch water heater for under $50
5. a solar food dehydrator for under $50
6. a super solar oven for under $50
7. a sturdy garden cart for under $50
8. a portable chicken tractor for under $50
x. resource and vendor list for all kinds of great homesteading supplies
Solar Power is a field in which each and every Electronic Engineer should excell. It is highly important and it will be a demand of future in my eyes. The power rates are perking higher and higher in the country and there is a high need to go for alternate sources of energy and solar is one of the very best options available. It does require an initial investment typicall about 30-40 thousand $ for powering about 1000MW of a single house, but the PVs (PhotoVoltaics) have a life time of about 20 years. So this amount can be quickly recovered. We should know that not all of us have to spend this 30000 to 40000 $ in our homes, rather we can start from a smaller project, lets say a room, and then can make it for the whole house, even i must say that 1000MW is quite a large amount of power so we might not need this much power for our cases.
On the whole, this book is a Must Read for every Electronic Engineer. Comments are welcome...

STIM (Smart Transducer Interface Module)-My Final Year Project
For every Engineer, his/her Final Year Project(FYP) is very important. Everyone should try to give his level best in order to make it ________ . Now what should be filled in this blank???
If we put this infront of different students, we' ll get different answers, someone say unique, someone say goodlooking..etc. But mine is something different. After a lot of consultation with both Industrial and Academic Experts, i came to find that:
A good final year project is the one which finds its application in the industry and thus can present an idea to improve the current use of technology."
I tried to make my project based upon the above strategy. It is basically an Instrumentation and Automation based project. It presents an idea of data acquistions in a new way. Without depending upon the control networks being used, we can acquire the data through its circuit. This enables us to use this little circuit in almost every industry of this world. Read my project Report here:
Project Report
If you want to discuss anything regarding this project, you can always do that in the comments section of this post.

Soldering Station--An Introduction
Assalamoalaikum! Hello and Welcome Dear Visitor!
Being an Electronic Engineer, i always wanted to feel what i have studied so far in my engineering. I have so many books, magazines and project ideas with me that i really feel are a gift to me by my Creator. This blog as the name suggests, Soldering Station, is not just a page, it is hub, a platform for those who want to learn and feel the real side of Electronic Engineering. I never ever been a good student when it comes to craming the theory. I always had love for doing Engineering Practically. So that i may not just read the transistor, but also use it, i may not just see the ic, i also implement it.
Right throughout my four years of Engineering at NED Univeristy, i always had interests in PROJECTS. My final year project was also quite different from others. This blog is a place for people of the same kind. I would like to share what i have in my engineering world. I do expect the very same from you. I think we can make it a good round-table-conferrence to discuss our minds, our engineering. I would feel a great contentment, if even a single person can get and learn from this blog. Im not a professional blogger, but thats not something which can stop me from taking this positive step.
Come, lets do it for the betterment of mankind, Lets go and prove who are Electronic Engineers...
